Craziness that Is
Nothing gets to thagierk more than a nice down home story about anger and the mocking of other people. You follow it up with a drunk driving message you have this little ditty sent in by a man who seems a little bitter or perhaps a little bent. ThaGierk likes that more than thagierk likes talking about himself in the third person.
Most people piss me off, due to stupid and idiotic reasons. Lets take from example the races (motocross). You wait at the gates most often times for a few hours before getting in. The person attending the gate takes your money and you proceed to the spot you’d like to set-up. You’d think that when you have a tuck and trailer most people would be courteous and allow you to back your rig in but no, not these folks. They storm the gate jump out of their trucks and place down lawn chairs, a table or sometimes an awning all before you can turn your head to back up. Is it me or does this world need an attitude adjustment? There was a time not before long; you would show common respect for one another. Is that true today? Yea Right. Everyone is out for number one. Themselves. Then you ask why is it that Johnny’s mom lets him stay out all night. Well, I guess it’s because Johnny’s mom does not give a shit about what her son does. Let alone expect him in at a certain time. Well the jails are filled with little Johnnies. Don’t be a Johnny! Back to the main subject, people at the moto track. Now you're all set-up in the spot you really didn’t want, but what choice do you really have, you live with it. Next thing you know someone off the distance is yelling at their kid for coming in 4th in his first moto. Give me a break dad; the boy is 5 years old. I guess by the time he gets really serious about racing he has no one to thank but you, go have another beer, loser. It’s simply amazing what you see while at the races. We have a friend that is a self-proclaimed free stylist PRO. He’s no more a PRO that I am Elvis Presley. (Would be nice, not really Elvis is Dead) but every week he comes in last, but to his own admission he turns and does a knack, knack. Boy I am sure he’s impressed, are you. Especially knowing he just finished the race in LAST place, go practice with the beer-drinking Dad loser. I’ll tell you, people just don’t give a shit any more or we have a society that is clueless. I would hope to think the later on this one. Now the racing is nearly over with one last race to go. Before the last lap is even finished and the winner is certain, people get up and stagger off to their pits or cars. Sure, after drinking a gallon of beer at the races, you have decided to drive, how wonderful. Not only are you putting yourself into danger, everyone that comes within a car length is in trouble. Yet, you strive to beat the rest and make it home fast. You come around the corner, don’t see the car in front of you and now you swerve to avoid an accident. Within seconds your life, as you know it will forever change. You pull yourself up from the floor in a daze and they you notice your 5 year old son, the one you yelled at for not coming in first laying their in his own blood. You’re sober now, as you get down on your knees and pray that he will be ok. Ambulance arrives and takes him and yourself away. You wake up thinking it’s all been a dream. Doctor comes in and tells you good news; your son is going to be ok. You’re so happy you didn’t kill you son that you attempt to get out of bed. Your injuries prevent you from making this happen. To confirm what the doctor has stated you ask to see your son. The doctor indicates to the nurse it’s ok, everything will be just fine. Your boy is wheel in by the nurse, you start to cry cause you see he has no legs. You would gladly give yours up so he could walk again. He wheels himself over to you and whispers in your ears, “don’t cry Daddy everything is going to be ok”, I love you no matter what has happened. Why couldn’t you have loved him back at the races when you yelled at him for getting 4th place, for not doing the things you wished you could do but could, now he will never have the opportunity to do the things he wishes to do. So the next time you pick up that beer and drive your car, always remember, someone else may depend on you.
