FEMA and our Goverment F'd up

buy yourself a gun ASAP

       I used to believe that the NRA over reacted with their crap about your right to own a weapon.  But after watching the aftermath of hurricane Katrina I have now since changed my mind.  Anyone who has half a brain must have seen what happened.

    It seems the argument for gun control from the government side has been, citizens don't need guns.  That the days of needing one for being in a militia or to defend yourself from the natives are over.  Plainly saying that the country lives in a different time from when the Constitution was written.  That in fact owning a gun puts you in more harm than good.  They are quick to point out accidental shootings among children, school shootings, and of course gun use among gang bangers.

    I personally don't believe that owning a gun, weather it be a glock or an auto rifle will save you if the US government decides to declare martial law and take over.  Even a well fortified compound won't hold them off.  For example look at WACO in 1994.  The Branch Davidians were well armed, had three months worth of food, and were ready for the attack.  They lost.  I thought the government take over was the worse case scenario and a losing battle, so why own a gun. But now I see different with what happened in New Orleans.

    Desperate people do desperate things period.  I learned that you can't count on the government to instill order when chaos happens.  Every man for himself and for his family.  All others need not apply.

    I only say this because I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, and according to experts, we are long over due for the big one.  Big One = Earthquake.
