On the AO Clan

    Was talking to my wife the other day and told her about the clan I'm involved in.  She thought I meant "The Clan" and started to get worried.  When I told her it was an online gaming community I belonged to, she was relieved.  The clan I belong to and help run is called the Alapha Omega.  http://www.a-o-c.tk My call sign is HBOspecial.  I used hbo special because for a while they were replaying Saving Private Ryan and had the miniseries Band of Brothers.  Since I started using that name I get a lot of questions from players on it.  I don't usually tell them what it means I leave it open to interpretation.  Besides does it really matter what it means.

    The producer of  ThaGierk.com and I basically pay 50 bones a month to have this First Person Shooter online.  A game hosting company basically sets up the server for us and we play on it.  It's a 20 player slot, meaning that only 20 players can play at any given time.  The game we choose is Medal Of Honor using the Spearhead Expansion Pack called Spearhead.  

Death Match

    There are many types of game play for this type of game.  You have what they call, Death Match in which you go around and shoot anyone that moves.  Death Match is a great way to train for a newbie or noob(a name given to a new player who's never really played before)  You can tell a noob because the have almost no kills and a lot of deaths.  Since there are no rules to follow in death match, you don't have to worry about objectives or killing team members.  You get over that "I suck, and what are they going to think of me stage pretty fast."  This type of game really helps you get accustomed to learning your  keys.  At first like typing you tend to look down at the keys on your keyboard when you play.  But soon enough like driving a manual transmission you have the basics down.  Since almost every FPS game uses the same BASIC keys to play, playing new games that come out are easy to play.  Unfortnally with every new game there are also new key commands to know outside of your basic ones. For example, Medal of Honor doesn't have a prone postion, but Call Of Duty does.
